Since 1985 Brown Sugar, although located in a shophouse with a minuscule stage, has been graced by some formidable jazz musicians both local and international. It is conveniently located on Sarasin Road on the north side of Lumpini Park amongst a few other clubs. They have to compete with some glitzy competition from the large hotels who bring in top international jazz names.
The interior looks a bit seedy, although in this particular case, it just adds a bit of authenticity to a genuine jazz dive. The music is good and you probably will enjoy it.
